A 17-year-old boy riding an e-bike was seriously injured Monday evening, Nov. 2, when he collided with a 2019 Nissan on Prospect Avenue near Swalm Street in New Cassel. Nassau County police said he was later reported in stable condition.

An on-duty Suffolk County Police sergeant driving an unmarked police vehicle was seriously injured when it collided with a Honda CR-V at River Road and Victory Avenue in Shirley around 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, Suffolk County Police said. The Honda's driver, a 25-year-old Shirley woman, and her 3-year-old son had minor injuries, and the Major Case Unit is investigating.
Southampton Town Police said a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near 94 Old Riverhead Road West in Hampton Bays at about 7:40 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital. The driver, who left the scene, later went to police headquarters and reported he thought he had struck a deer.
A 20-year-old Levittown man was charged with driving while intoxicated after his Mercedes-Benz struck a curb and a utility pole in West Babylon early Saturday, Oct. 24, seriously injuring his 18-year-old passenger, Suffolk County Police said. The passenger's injuries were described as not life-threatening.
Suffolk County Police arrested Javon Robinson, 32, of Wheatley Heights on Wednesday on a charge of leaving the scene of a crash, Newsday reported. Police say he fled after a Honda Civic struck the Manor Haven Home for Adults in Huntington Station Sunday night, displacing 27 residents.

Miguel Nolasco, 44, was convicted October 27, 2026, of aggravated vehicular homicide and other charges in a September 2024 crash in Hicksville that killed a 30-year-old man, the Nassau County District Attorney's office said.
